Zutter Project - Bookmark Book

Well, it's been bound with the Zutter now, I just need to add the bookmarks themselves! After this, I'm so torn about what to do next, I'll have to pick project ideas from a hat!

Winter and Summer. Oooh, getting so close!

Here are the Autumn and Spring pocket pages with their holes in, ready for binding...
So these are the completed pockets. As you can see I have added some more stamping and aging, to tie everything together.

Now I really just want to finish this project! The internal pages are made by folding a piece of A4 card in half, then measuring down from the top to fit the covers. the remainder of the card is folded up, then a corner is folded back down. And there are your pockets. I coloured each one using Distress inks again, adding Milled Lavender for the Winter pocket. I had to use Kaleidocolor for Summer, as I don't have a yellowy Distress. I used the same Elusive Images stamp as a background this time.

Zutter Bookmark Folder project

And here are the covers. Mounted onto extra thick card that has had the edges inked in brown Stazon. I also edged the panels in gold pen before mounting them. I made the word "Bookmark" by running a strip of gold, textured paper through my Dymo, the used the same Distress Inks to darken it down a bit. Backed with a sliver of brown card, and hey presto!
I'm really glad I started again with this one, I'm liking it much more now!

Now, using the same inks again, I inked up the stamp using both pads. I inked the orange first, then carefully added the green. I stamped the image twice for each panel. I love stamping with Distress Inks, you get a lovely, soft watercolour effect.
The stamp is another from Elusive Images.

Bookmark Folder Project

As promised, here is the reborn Bookmark folder project. I started by making my own background paper. Marmalade and Peeled Paint Distress Inks were swooshed onto acetate, spritzed with water, then glosy card laid over and pressed down in a circular motion. I then stamped the large script using the same inks, stamping off on paper first to lighten it. I then added the stylised leaves, again the same inks, stamped off on paper first, though not as much as for the script Stamp. I then cut out two panels from this paper.

Both stamps are Elusive Images

Change of Heart

I have decided to start again with the bookmark book, the covers just weren't good enough! Watch this space, the whole project is coming soon....

Not a Book this Time!

But rather, a bookmark folder. This is the beginning of a folder that will contain 4 Bookmarks, one for each season of the year. This is alcohol inks on cheap glossy cardm, and when I stamped on the right hand panel, the ink came away with the stamp! The solution? I sprayed the other one with fixative that you would use to fix chalks onto paper, I could then stamp over it without the inks peeling away. Funny thing is though, I've just realised that one of these is upside down! Silly me!

Book Project

Well, I suppose it is somewhat predictable that my first project should be a note book! The first two pics are the front & back views, the second two are the inside of those covers. This was done as part of a challenge over at 4x4 friday . "Floral" was the name of the challenge, and these covers are 4" x 4", stamped with Paper Artsy rubber stamps, sponged with kaleidocolor inks. A bit of glitter and heat embossing finish them off.

So, I finally got one. Wanted one of these for ages. But then, when it arrived, I thought to myself " What do I do with it now?" So, I had a browse of the web, as you do, searching for inspiration, but there is hardly anything around. So, I decided to set up this blog, to show you my experience with this fab little gadget! Check back often, I will add all my Bind-it-All projects here!
